Most carpet laying courses focus on laying large areas of new carpet. This is different. Yes you will learn to lay a carpet to Australian standard using an 8 way stretch. But this course will focus on the specific problems associated with maintaining pre-installed carpet. These are the tasks that most carpet layers didn't learn to do.
This course is evenly divided between theory and hands on. Learn how to use professional laying equipment including the power stretcher.
Learn how to perform near invisible repairs, 'bonded inserts' and how to sew in or insert new yarn to repair cigarette burns and missing tufts.
Learn how to do carpet 'keyhole surgery' using the Koolglide induction carpet heat seaming iron.
Re-laminate small areas of damaged secondary backing and repair split or damaged carpet seams. Save thousands of dollars on your water damage restoration work by bringing your carpet reinstallation in house.
This is a 2 day fully catered course; 14 hours (not including exam time, lunch and breaks)
