Bennett Direct Olefin Prespray is an effective and economical soil emulsifier for use in removing high levels of soil on primitive synthetic carpet including, olefin, acrylic and early generation nylons. It is not recommended for wool rich carpets or stain release nylon. Its high detergency is excellent where high levels of greasy soil are encountered. On lesser soiled carpets it may be necessary to use Bennett Direct Foam Buster in the recovery tank.
Preparation
Hand spotting: Mix 1 part Bennett Direct Olefin Prespray with 3 parts water and apply using a hand spray. May be used to treat small soil spots or as a local booster during broad area cleaning.
Prespray Preparation: Determine whether to prespray traffic lanes or the entire area. Remove furniture and other items from the area to be cleaned. Remove surface litter. Thoroughly vacuum area to remove particulate soil and lint. Pay particular attention to lint build-ups around edges and furniture legs. Apply Bennett Direct Olefin Prespray at a dilution rate of between 1 part in 8 and one part in 20, depending on soiling. Allow minimum dwell time of 5 mins and do not allow the prespray to dry out.
For best results
Use a carpet grooming tool to agitate the pile following prespray. Especially when cleaning compacted low level loop rental type or contract polypropylene (olefin). For extremely soiled or abused carpet, use a hybrid cleaning system, combining HWE with a rotary type shampoo system.
