Sonitron Green G.R.O.G is unique in that it is soluble in organic solvents and forms a fully miscible emulsion in water. It can therefore be removed by both dry and wet cleaning agents. In practice it is most easily removed by your hot water extraction system unlike other non-volatile solvents. While not as aggressive in its solvency as mineral based solvents, it has a broad spectrum of materials it will remove. In addition to grease and oil it is effective on gum, adhesives, lipstick and some paints and inks. It can be applied to fabrics such as drapes by prespray as a soil preconditioner before cleaning by other methods including extraction and full immersion cleaning. It will safely remove graffiti and scuff marks from hard surfaces provided painted surfaces are pre-tested.
