OdorX 9-D-9

OdorX 9-D-9

A smoke odour counteractant used on smoke damaged surfaces to prevent odors from evaporating into the atmosphere. Also used as an additive to wall, upholstery and carpet cleaning solutions. 9-D-9 is a highly concentrated general purpose smoke odour counteractant. 9-D-9 is specially formulated to counteract fire and related smoke odors.

Use Instructions

Apply 9-D-9 with a compression sprayer or an airless paint sprayer only. Do not use with a fogger.

Preparing RTU solution: Add 3 ounces of 9-D-9 with enough water to make one gallon of ready-to-use solution (23 mL / L). Saturation spray smoke residue deposits.

Detoxifying smoke- and fire-damaged job sites: Treating smoke-damaged surfaces and charred materials with 9-D-9 solution inhibits the evaporation of toxic fire-related vapors.

For charred wood or additional odor control: Add 1 ounce of Last Resort™ to each gallon of 9-D-9 solution as prepared above (8 mL / L).

Use with other products: 9-D-9 may be added to other water-based cleaning solutions to increase their effectiveness.

For best results use 9-D-9 as part of the three step odor removal system.

Three step odour removal system

ODOUR REMOVAL

This system targets and neutralizes a wide range of odor molecules. Always refer to product label or User Guides for specific instructions.

STEP 1: Suppression spray
Knock down odor sources by applying an odor counteractant such as 9D9 or Double-O with a compression sprayer. It is important that the solution come in direct contact with all contaminated surfaces that might be a source of odor. This provides an initial knockdown of strong, objectionable odors. For especially strong smoke odors in charred wood, attic insulation, ceiling/wall voids or other areas, use the following mixture for Step 1: Add to an empty 5 gallon (20 liter) pail 1 gallon (4 liters) of Unsoot Encapsulant, 1 quart (0.95 liter) 9D9, and 5 ounces (150 ml) Last Resort. Add water to make 5 gallons (20 liters) and apply the mixture with a low pressure sprayer. Covers 500 sq. ft. per gallon (46 sq. meters per 4 liters). Now proceed with Step 2.

STEP 2: Apply odor counteractant and absorbent
Sprinkle C.O.C. (Crystal Odor Counteractant) at a rate of 4 ounces per 200 square feet (120 ml per 20 square meters) of floor area.

STEP 3: Thermal fogging
Apply Thermo-2000 or Thermo-55 using a thermal fogging device (see table below to select the correct device). Refer to product label or User Guides for specific instructions. Be sure to ventilate the treatment area thoroughly before permitting the area to be re-occupied.

TOBACCO ODOUR REMOVAL

Tabac-Attack formulations specifically target and neutralize tobacco-related odor molecules. Utilize one or both options described below; for severe tobacco odors, use both options for best results. Always refer to product label or User Guides for specific instructions.

Suppression spray with Tabac-Attack.
Prepare Tabac-Attack solution according to label instructions. Spray affected materials and surfaces, taking care to avoid drips and streaking. Tabac-Attack may also be added to hard surface and fiber cleaning solutions as needed.

Thermal fogging with Thermo-55
Apply Tabac-Attack Thermo-55 using a thermal fogging device (see table below to select the correct device). Refer to product label or User Guide for specific instructions. Be sure to ventilate the treatment area thoroughly before permitting the area to be re-occupied.
